Proposed boundary changes
21/10/11
Categories: PoliticsWe have received this letter from the office of Nick Raynsford MP:
"I am attaching a copy of the submission I have made to the Boundary Commission for England in respect of Greenwich and Woolwich (Boundary Commission.pdf). As you will see I believe the Boundary Commission’s initial proposal is seriously flawed, would cause unnecessary disruption and cut across existing community links and natural boundaries. The alternative proposal which I support would by contrast, strengthen community links in Greenwich, Blackheath, Charlton and Thamesmead and minimise disruption to the existing Greenwich and Woolwich constituency.
I will be speaking in support of this alternative at the public hearing in Lewisham on 24th October. I do hope that you will feel able to add your support to this alternative proposal.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss any issue arising from the Boundary Review."
